When brands and influencers dominate social media, we get to live in an internet where everything's an ad and everyone's selling something. Dangling a shiny new object in front of a human is like putting a bone in front of a dog — you just know we're going to play with it.

And so we keep buying: things, things, and more things. Things we don't need, want, or like. Just because they're dangled in front of us. Play on friends, play on.
